kids poem 2: video games

The video games they rot his brain

The lights, graphics, and buttons he’s pushed

4 hours a day, he cannot refrain

It’s turned his little brain to mush

He cannot move to go outside

or make the trek to the front door

overweight from no excercise

he’s just as soon sit on the floor

its been so long since he’s seen the sun

or felt the grass or heard a bird

that going outside would not be fun

and mom does not utter a word.
