Be in my skin

I’ve searched for things in people’s eyes.  Looking at them when they don’t know I’m watching.  Wondering what it’s like to be in their skin.  What they think.  What they fear.  What moves them.  What scares them.  What they regret.  What they’re proud of.  What they hate.  What they love.  What they think of themselves.

Perhaps if we took the time to ask each other these questions, we’d close the gap between us and open a connection.
